I'm Getting the Urge to start Cloth Diapering!!

and Kaelin is starting to potty train!! What's wrong with me!?! Unfortunately, I only change about one of her diapers per day (she's with my cousin all day while I'm teaching)...but I still would like to try it! A fellow mompreneur, Rachel from Two Little Whales, is running a contest for a free Knicker Nappie on her blog...check it out...she has a really cute store too, and she's a Georgian!!

Well, we started cloth diapering Pooky last spring, when he was 18 months, thinking that even though he only had a year or so left before potty training started, I would use the diapers again for Baby #3 (if that ever happens - I am hoping soon!) However, I turned out to be a cloth diaper failure, and we aren't doing it anymore - I did like it, but we were having lots of problems with leaks, and I think I just got lazy. Even though we had trouble, I say, go for it!
And to answer your question you asked on my blog - we are not moving anymore. Ray went to Chicago for a few weeks, hated his new job, decided to come home, got his old job back, so now we will be staying in SC - which is fine with me! I think I blogged about it briefly last month. :)

People that I know who use cloth diapers seem to love them! I know it is not only a green thing to do but many say better for your baby's bottom. I'm just not ready to take that step yet. Good luck with whatever you choose!

It's never to late to start! In fact I hear potty training is the easiest when you're using cloth. :)

I'm Stephanie's friend that emailed you last week. We are CDing our 7 month old and almost 2 year old. Let me know if you want to come see any of our dipes, etc. Unfortunately, my ODD is not showing many signs of being ready to potty train, but I bought her diapers in gender neutral colors so that they could be passed down to her brother later.

Oh, and I'm also a working mom and have made it work. Our babysitter doesn't mind, just sticks them in a bag all day and I wash at night.

Thanks for all your information and advice! Katie, I may take you up on that one!
